Trip to NCMA in Raleigh

Hello to everyone who signed up for the trip to NCMA on March 29th.

I am so glad that you will be joining us for the Childe Hassam exhibition at the North Carolina Museum of Art on Tuesday, March 29th.  Please let your friends know about it.  You don't have to be a WAA member to join us.  I know that we'll have a splendid time and that the exhibitions and lunch will be thoroughly enjoyable.  I have attached a description of the trip.

The Museum needs a head count for their docent-led tours and the lunch as soon as possible.  So let me know that you're coming and send a $35 check, made out to WAA, to me or register online at http://www.wilmingtonart.org./  My address is 624 Woodland Forest Court.  We also need to know who will drive.  So far, we have offers from Jane Capen, Anthony Lees, and Barbara Salisbury, and a maybe from another member.

I look forward to hearing from you all and discussing start times and meeting-up location.

Thank you for replying soon!

On March 10th 2016 Wilmington Art Association welcomes Kelly Starbuck, photographer, as the speaker at our monthly Membership Meeting at the New Hanover County Arboretum at 6.30pm.
Kelly will give us a presentation of her beautiful work and speak of her background in photography. A native of Wrightsville Beach, Kelly worked for many years in New York City with international photography celebrity, Bengoeachea. She taught at the International Center of Photography.
In 2009 Kelly returned to Wilmington and made her mark at her gallery, SALT Studio in the Brooklyn Arts District.

Starbuck has worked extensively with the film industry, and her work has been displayed on Larry King Live, in Town & Country Magazine, Southern Living and numerous other media. Currently, she is producing and curating Wilmington's first large-scale photography show titled "Southern Exposure: A Photographic Arts Show" at the Brooklyn Arts Center on May 15th, 2016.
