Art in the Arboretum

The Wilmington Art Association partners each year with the New Hanover County Arboretum in the Art in the Arboretum show being held this year September 30 – October 2, 2016. Artist registration is open and operates just as it did last year with the MySaleManager (MSM) website. The registration fee is still done through PayPal, but we have the added ability for members of the Wilmington Art Association to pay $25 versus the $35 for non-members. The PayPal button on the MSM website has both fees. Choose the appropriate one.

If you were a registered artist on the MSM website last year, you login using your consignor number and your password (usually the last four digits of your phone number). If you’ve forgotten either, you can click on ‘Forgot your Consignor Number or Password?’ and enter your email address.

Here are the registration and prospectus links for quick access:

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Larry Sackett at 301.518.3166 or email at lbsackett@gmail.com

MICHAEL CHESLEY JOHNSON: coming to Wilmington in October!

WAA is delighted to welcome a very exciting and nationally-known workshop leader.  This will be a truly unique experience for both pastel and oil painters.  Michael's ability to talk about the act of painting in easy-to-understand terms has made him an extremely popular teacher.  He also writes for premier art journals, and his work is seen regularly in national publications.  He has written several books and makes instruction videos.

His workshops usually take place in Sedona, Arizona, and in Campobello Island, New Brunswick.  We are very fortunate to have him come here to North Carolina.  It's an honor and a treat for WAA!  Look at our flyer for further information and secure your place now!!  This workshop is sure to be a sell-out!  And will make a terrific birthday or anniversary present for YOU.

The workshop will be held October 4-6 at the Hannah Block Center. It is $350 for WAA members.
Please go to the WAA website to register. http://www.wilmington-art.org/index.php?c=learning
