General Membership Meeting Thursday September 10

The next Wilmington Art Association meeting will be held at the New Hanover County Arboretum on Oleander Drive with social time starting at 6:30 pm.

The business meeting will start at 7 and will be followed by a Committee Fair. Our Board members and committee heads have enjoyed putting together visuals and information to share with everyone. It will give all who attend an opportunity to talk, ask questions, and see the many things that WAA does and how you may like to get involved.
There will be drawings for goodies at each committee table.

Benefit Art Auction

Lynn Padgett is a former member of the Wilmington Art Association who passed away from cancer in April of 2015.

Her family has donated 80 original paintings for a Silent Art Auction to be held at Sneads Ferry Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 19, 2015 to benefit Barium Springs Home for Children (a favorite charity of Lynn's) and the local area Benevolence fund.

The Auction is open from 1-6. Refreshments will be served at 6 pm while the auction bids are tallied.

Lynn’s life’s accomplishments and achievements will be honored at this time by her family and friends and presentation of funds to each organization will be made.

Visa and MasterCard will be accepted for payment. For more information call Marianne Carter at 910-327-2427.
