WORKSHOP IN SOUTHPORT

Summer Regional Show 2 D Workshop  June 1 – 3, 2015
“Romancing your Muse” Mixed Media Collage with Vae Hamilton"

This workshop is about finding your direction and the time to go there.  It’s about fun collage and painting techniques, letting go and enjoying the mediums and how to create new and exciting textures using unconventional techniques.  The class will be coloring tissue papers, preparing collage material with magazine pages and metal polish, creating pealed–paper backgrounds and how to use photo transfer methods using family and friend’s photos. Vae will help you to hone motivational skills, something you’ve always wanted to know about.  She is anything but traditional so if you are in a rut and want to step out or just want to investigate an old friend called collage you’ll be fully inspired.

Vae Hamilton attended Western Illinois University and the University of Colorado majoring in Art.  She is featured in Gerald Brommer’s book, “Collage Techniques”, as well as creating the cover art for “Branches, Volume 10” receiving the 2001 Editor’s Choice Award. (To view Vae’s work please visit – http://hamilton.artplaces.com    or  http:// carltongallery.com

The workshop will be held at Franklin Square Gallery. The fee is $240.
$120 is due at the time of registration.
