Registration is up and running for Spring Show
Submissions until February 28.

A fun celebratory evening honoring the recipients of the first annual
Arts in Wilmington Awards will be held on
January 28, 2017 from 6-9 pm at the ArtWorks.
Tickets are $25 in advance and at the door.

The Associated Artists of Southport, NC is accepting entries through February 13, 2017
for the Spring Art Show
to take place February 27 to March 18, 2017.
Kate Worm (2D) and Amy Levine (3D) will judge from actual work.
All work will be displayed at Franklin Square Gallery.

“THE CONTEMPORARY FIGURE”
Join Kate and explore unusual ways of applying watercolor and gouache to create beautiful figure paintings with a contemporary look. Students will work from life with a model. The model will be clothed for some sessions and unclothed for others. Good drawing and color choices will be emphasized. Printmaking brayers, eyedroppers, and scrapers will be tools of choice along with brushes.
Kate Worm holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree from Columbia University Teachers College with minors in visual arts. She studied figure painting for four years with renowned painter and educator Andrew Martin at UNC Greensboro. Her figure paintings were featured in American Artist Watercolor, summer 2006. Kate is a Signature Member of WSNC (2010 first place winner) and the National Watercolor Society.

Hours: 9 am – 4 pm (with a one hour lunch break)
Workshop Fee: $295
A deposit of $147.50 is required at the time of registration. The balance is due February 1, 2017. Cancellation policy: Before Feb. 15, if there is a person on the waiting list to take your place or if you find someone to register in your place, a refund less 15% will be returned to you. If not, no refund is given.
