Registration for Arboretum Show is Now Open
 
The registration page for Art in the Arboretum is up and running.

It's fast and easy. Don't wait! One hundred and thirty artists will be selected.
 
Note: All artists from the past two years have been entered into the website with an ID and password.
It is also set up for the $35 entry fee, but WAA members will be reimbursed $10.00.

New Classes
 
Award-winning artist Christopher Reid will be teaching weekly art workshops at Jazzcars Gallery 2144 Wrightsville Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28403 for a limited time this summer. All classes are from 6-9pm. You can choose which ones to attend. Lessons will combine demonstration, discussion, critiques, one-on-one instruction, and hands-on experience. Questions are encouraged. Beverages and some supplies included. Sign up in advance to reserve your spot and help me prepare. I welcome your feedback and I look forward to painting with you :)

  9. Wednesday 7/15: Pastel Techniques 2 – Beginner - Intermediate
  10. Monday 7/20: Pastel Painting 1 – Intermediate - Advanced
  11. Wednesday 7/22: Pastel Painting 2 - Advanced
  12. Monday 7/27: Pastel Portraits 1 – Intermediate - Advanced
  13. Wednesday 7/29: Pastel Portraits 2 – Intermediate - Advanced


Recommended Supply List: 
  • classes 1,2 : graphite, charcoal pencils, kneaded eraser, sketchbook
  • classes 2,3,4 : medium of your choice, scrap paper or panel
  • clasess 6,7 : charcoal pencils, White charcoal pencill, graphite pencils, kneaded eraser
  • classes 8-13 : workshop pastel set or pastels of your choice
 

Pricing:
  • classes are 3 hours for $75 each
  • buy 5 classes, get 1 free
  • purchase all 13 workshops for $775(save $200!)
  • a workshop pastel set can be ordered in advance for $100
