Peggy Vineyard at the Franklin Art Gallery

Peggy Vineyard is the featured artist at the Franklin Square Gallery this month.
Make sure you see her beautiful paintings on the wall upstairs.

Arboretum Art

Deadline for submitting art for the Art in the Arboretum poster is May 29.

The registration deadline for entering the Art in the Arboretum show is September 18.

Upcoming Workshops

Bigger Faster, Looser
The next WAA sponsored workshop will be presented by David Kessler of Winston Salem July 22-24.
This will be an all media workshop that aims to teach the artist to loosen up and paint more freely.

Watercolor with Betty Brown
October 27-29 Betty Brown will be teaching painting still life, landscape and the human head in watercolor.

High School Student Art Competition
 
The WAA Community Outreach Program is sponsoring the 2015 NHC High School Student Art Competition in conjunction with the Orange Street Art Fest during the Memorial Day Weekend.  
Area high schools choose their 15 of their best students' work in 2D and 3D. They are entered into the art competition and will be judged on Wednesday, May 20th at 10:30 a.m. at Hannah Block.
Come congratulate the student winners and see their work at a reception to be held on Thursday, May 21st from 5-7 p.m. at the Hannah Block Community Center on 2nd and Orange.
You can also view their work during the weekend of May 23rd and 24th.
