It is with great sadness that we share this information.
Our long time member of the Wilmington Art Association, Betsy Heckethorn, passed away this morning at her home.
Betsy was very dedicated to the WAA. She served as Spring Show Chair for several years, our Treasurer for many years, taught art classes for the elderly at the Hannah Block Center and was one who was well versed in our By-Laws. She was our "go to person" when anyone had a question regarding past history. Betsy will be truly missed.
The service will be held at Andrews Mortuary 4108 S. College Rd. on Monday, March 23 at 10:00.
After the service, WAA members are invited to visit with the family at Betsy's home. The address is 418 W. Blackbeard Rd. Wilmington, NC.
