Greetings From Your New President 2014
When I was asked to be considered as your president for the coming year, I saw this as a wonderful opportunity to become an active part of an enthusiastic and extremely talented group of artists. Our 2013 Board has already planned many exciting opportunities for us. The well deserved reputation of our club is due largely to the diverse talents and the dedication of our volunteers. As a prime example, Liz Hosier and Janet Sessoms, co-chairs for the Spring Show, have already spent hours of preparation.
I’m looking forward to beginning the New Year with you at our January 16 membership meeting!

Please Be on the Lookout for a Lost Painting from the USO Hannah Block Art Gallery
Anyone who picked up their art work at the USO Hannah Block Bldg yesterday (Wed.12/18) please check through your art to look for a small painting that may have gotten stuck between larger ones in the bins. It is, "St. Thomas PreservationHall Window", Original w/c, unframed, 8x10 matted and in glassine (?) jacket, priced somewhere between $50 to $80. Please contact Maryan Formy-Duval at mm4meduval@att.net if you have it. I really appreciate your help!

Greetings from Plastic Ocean Project,
Dear Wilmington Art Association Members,
I am emailing you because I have recently given a presentation to your group (in October) and believe you all best understand my work on marine conservation. I am hoping you can help me share this work with communities across the United States. It is really simple, all I need are votes for “What Goes Around, Come Around – communicating science through art” on this Facebook page https://a.pgtb.me/Jb7MRb and for you to share this message with others, if you wish. It is an international competition and I am lucky enough to have been selected (actually the only one from the US). The group with the most votes gets $5000 to use for an outreach project and mine is to take my marine debris art show across country. Most of the other groups have a lot of members so it is going to be tough. But with your help I have a fighting chance.
Thank you all for this simple act of kindness . The marine life thanks you too.
Best,
Bonnie Monteleone
