WAA Artists…
Start your engines!!

The sign-up date for our special “eARTh-inspired” Exhibit at Hannah Block is Saturday, August 24th. We will have the FULL Lobby space…
and it is FREE!!

It is also our first partnership with UNCW—and so, we have to make it a very good exhibit with lots of participation. (there could be future opportunities for  partnership with UNCW!) There will be great general publicity from the College,( they are also trying for a TV spot on our 9/27 “Fourth Friday” when the UNCW pianists will be performing)—as well as from our own WAA venues—and from participating environmental groups. A perfect chance to exhibit your work!

Go to the WAA website and sign up!
Be a part of this unique partnership with UNCW—
and your fellow artists!

Please contact me at elainerogerscooper@gmail.com with any questions you may have!

    From Anita Jacques:

There is still space left to exhibit in the WAA Gallery in the USO building at 120 2nd Street, and you have until end of day, Tuesday, August 20th to sign up.

If you would like to sign up just go to www.wilmingtonart.org <http://www.wilmingtonart.org/> , click login at the top right corner, and click the green SIGN UP button to read the prospectus. At the end of the prospectus click the green Click here to SIGN UP button which will take you to SignUpGenius where you will choose  1 “Available Slot” to enter TITLE, MEDIUM, DIMENSIONS, PRICE for 2 art pieces.

Note: It works best if you write your info (TITLE, MEDIUM, DIMENSIONS, & PRICE) in WORD or create an email to yourself, and Copy & Paste it into the white rectangular box on SignUpGenius.

Example:    Serenity Oil 8x10 $100 Radiance Oil 11x14 $100

How to Copy & Paste:

1.      Position the mouse cursor over the first letter of the first word of the text you want to copy. The arrow turns into a large I.

2.      Press down on the left mouse button and hold it down. Drag the cursor across the page until you reach the end of the text you want to copy. The text area is now "highlighted". Release the left mouse button. The text will stay highlighted until the left mouse button is clicked again.

3.      Position the cursor anywhere over the highlighted area and click on the right mouse button. A menu window will open up with a list of choices. Choose "copy."

4.      Go to SignUpGenius and in the white rectangular box position the mouse arrow next to the blinking cursor and click on the right mouse button. A menu window will open up. Select "Paste."

See you Wednesday, August 21st between 9:00 and 11:00 for pick up and drop off of artwork.

From Carol Hovey:

Hello all, I am in need of some direction...Just before leaving for a trip 2 weeks ago I received a request from a textbook/software publishing company in Brazil to use the image of one of my watercolors in a new textbook.  They have asked me what my parameters for use and fee are, and I have no idea what to tell them, never having done this before.  If any of you have had similar experience with a  request to use an art image I'd really appreciate hearing from you! Thanks,
