Exhibition and Sale for Visual & Heritage Arts
The Exhibition and Sale for Visual & Heritage Arts will be held Friday, May 26 - Sunday, May 27, 2017 at the ArtWorks 200 Willard St., Wilmington, NC. Winners qualify for the State Finals held in Raleigh this fall. There are four categories in SilverArts: Visual Arts, Heritage Arts, Literary Arts and Performing Arts. The Wilmington Art Association is sponsoring the Visual Arts and the Heritage Arts categories.

Artists will be painting plein air from bridge to bridge in Wilmington Monday May 1 through Friday May 5 during the Arts Council Paint Out. WAA has been asked to help with registration and stamping during the week. Please find a slot on this easy signup link and come to the Arts Council to help.

The Arts Council of Wilmington invites artists to Paint Out Wilmington! This annual plein air painting event is downtown Wilmington, NC,
May 1-6, 2017.
Picturesque backdrops abound in North Carolina’s “favorite” city, including the USS North Carolina, a 230+ block National Register Historic District, and a host of unique and contemporary scenes. Sponsored by the Arts Council in association with the
Wilmington Art Association.
The Judge
The talented Suzanne Morris will serve as our Judge for the Paint Out. Suzanne is an avid plein air painter who has been featured in several national art magazines inthe last few years. She was one of five marine artists featured in the September 2013 issue of
Southwest Art and the subject of two Artist Focus features in American Collector Magazine, as well as

Artists' Reception
Each year WAA spoonsors a reception for the artists to come by and say hello to other fellow painters and to meet the Judge.
This year the Reception is being held at
Art in Bloom Art Gallery on Friday, May 5.

THE ASSOCIATED ARTISTS OF SOUTHPORT SUMMER REGIONAL SHOW
The Associated Artists of Southport, NC is accepting entries through June 10, 2017 for the Summer Regional Show (juried art show) to take place June 26, through July 15, 2017. Robert Joyner (2D) and Shane Mickey (3D) will judge from actual work. All work will be displayed at Franklin Square Gallery in Southport, NC. Prospectus attached. LANDFALL 18TH ANNUAL ART SHOW
The Landfall Foundation is very pleased to announce the 18th Annual Art Show and Sale will be held on August 17th-19th,2017. The Preview party and awards will be on Wednesday August 16th, 2017.
We are so excited that the Art Show has a new home this year! The show will be held in the main ballroom at the Nicklaus Clubhouse in Landfall. Just like in years past, our exhibition is open to the first 100 artists who register, 18 years of age and older, and live in North Carolina.

We are in need of some Grill Masters and several people to set up and break down tables. If you are planning to attend and are interested in helping please let Barbara Tuzzeo know by e-mail at Barbara4art@gmail.com
We ask that you also include what you will be bringing for the Buffet, either Salad or Dessert. Soft Drinks and Hot Dogs and Hamburgers will be provided byWAA.
This will be our last meeting until September, so please plan to attend.
