Letter from the United Way of the Cape Fear Area

Hello!

I work for a nonprofit in Wilmington, NC and we’re celebrating our 75th Anniversary this year.  We’re throwing a huge anniversary party in June. The event will have a 1940s theme to honor the beginning of our United Way back in 1941. Our event is on Saturday, June 11th at Audi Cape Fear. We are looking for an artist who could come to the event and do a live painting. We would then have a raffle through the summer with a winner chosen at our annual Campaign Kickoff in September. We would later want to create prints of the commissioned piece of artwork.

We wanted a piece of art that captured the essence of our 75 years in the Cape Fear Area and the impact on the local community. We feel that having a live painting at our 75th Anniversary Party, with all of our local partners, past board members, donors and volunteers would be a great way to capture this feel.

We are reaching out to local artists to see if there is any interest out there. We would love to have something tangible to commemorate the past 75 years of UWCFA. I am attaching our 75th Anniversary invitation and our 75th Anniversary Sponsorship packet. Sponsorship at any level includes yearlong recognition and listing on 75th Anniversary promotional materials.

Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in and we can discuss further.
Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!

Best,
-Gina

It's Spring Show Week!

The WAA's biggest event is happening now.

Art will be hung and judged during the first part of the week.

The opening reception will be Thursday from five to seven pm. Members have generously contributed to this, and it will take the place of our regular monthly meeting. Awards will be presented, wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served, and there will be opportunities for socializing.
Please come!

It's good to be a part of the Wilmington Art Association.
